What’s the standard business card size?

Standard business cards in the United States and Canada are sized to 3.5 x 2 inches. However, we offer a variety of business card sizes to help your cards stand out.

What’s a typical order quantity?

We offer business cards in sets of 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2000, and 3000. Our most popular quantity is 250. You can also order a custom quantity via a custom quote.

Does my business card design have to be horizontal?

No! You can choose whether your design is vertical or horizontal.

What paper stocks are available?

We offer a variety of materials for business cards. Our most popular are:

• 100% PCW Uncoated Paper
  • Smooth, dull, and white surface
• 10% PCW Recycled Coated Paper
  • Smooth, sleek, and white surface
• 50% PCW Recycled Kraft Board
  • Textured, dull, and brown surface

What’s the best logo size for business cards?

Your logo can be as large or as small as you’d like it to be. No matter the size, please make sure the resolution is at least 300ppi. If your logo extends off the edge of the card, please make sure your business card includes a 0.125” bleed.

Can I print double-sided business cards?

Absolutely! You can choose to print on one or both sides with full color or black and white only.

What do the different ink choices mean?

We have a variety of ink choices for you to pick from. Options may change depending on your selected stock and project. White ink is only available on kraft business cards. There is a slight discount for choosing black ink only.

• 4/4: Full Color (CMYK) on both sides.
• 4/1: Full Color (CMYK) on the front side, and black only on the back side.
• 4/0: Full Color (CMYK) on the front side and blank on the back side.
• 1/1: Black Ink only on both sides.
• w/w: White Ink on both sides.
• w/0: White Ink on the front side and blank on the back side.
• (w+4/w+4): White Ink and Full Color (CMYK) on both sides.
• (w+4/0): White Ink and Full Color (CMYK) on the front side and blank on the back side.

What coatings and laminates are available?

If you choose a coated paper (like silk or gloss), we can add a soft touch coating. Soft touch coating creates a velvety texture and matte appearance. On any paper, we can add a gloss laminate. We use the most eco-friendly gloss laminate available. It uses heat to seal itself to your paper product. Because of this, a small edge of laminate will be left around the outside of your product to ensure proper sealing.

Will I get a proof for my business cards before printing begins?

Yes! We will send you up to two free digital (soft) proofs before production begins. Extra soft proofs and physical hard proofs can be ordered for an extra cost. For more information about proofs, please review our Proofing Options page.

Can I create business cards with different logos and designs in the same order?

Yes! You can submit up to 20 different designs at once. For each design, you can choose a unique quantity. We also offer typesetting services where we will change out the employee information for each person on a single design.

What is the smallest trim size for a business card?

Our standard business cards are rectangles sized to 3.5 x 2 inches or circles sized to 2, 3, or 4 inches. If you are interested in smaller (or any other sized) business cards please request a custom quote.

What is the turnaround time for business cards?

You can choose what turnaround you would like when submitting your order. We currently offer turnaround times between 3 and 8 days. For urgent orders, please reach out to our customer service team.

Do you offer discounts for ordering large quantities of business cards?

Yes! The more cards you order, the bigger the discount. Adding more versions will also lower the price per card. These discounts are applied automatically!

Custom Shaped Business Cards

Do you offer custom shaped business cards?

Yes! We can create custom die-cut shapes for your business cards. These shapes can be anything imaginable! Please submit a custom quote request to learn more about custom shaped business cards.

What is the best size for a circular business card?

There is no standard size for circular business cards, so the best size depends on how you plan to use your cards. We offer multiple default diameters for you to pick from. They represent our most common sizes for circular business cards: 2”, 3”, and 4”. Please submit a custom quote request to inquire about other diameters.

When deciding the size of circular business cards, there are a few things you should keep in mind:

• How will the cards be used? Circular business cards may not fit in some standard wallets, business card holders, or business card displays. It’s also important to think about how the card recipient will carry and store your business card. A 2” diameter can fit into most wallets.
• What content will be on the card? Your card must be big enough to show all of your necessary content, but still small enough to store and transport.

Can I choose which corners are rounded?

Yes! If you choose a business card with rounded corners, you can pick how many corners are rounded and which corners are rounded. You can choose to have 1, 2, 3, or all 4 corners rounded. Please let us know which corners you want rounded.

Colored Edge Business Cards

What are colored edges?

Colored edges on business cards add a bright pop of color to a unique part of your business card design. Not only does it add to your business card design, but it also helps your cards stand out in a stack. Our color edges are made by sandwiching colored paper in between two white liner sheets. This creates vibrant colored edges and a clean white front and back.

Does the color cover the entire edge?

Because our colored edges are made by sandwiching colored paper in between two white liner sheets, the colored area will not completely cover the edge. It appears as a colored stripe in the center of the edge on all 4 sides.

Can my edge color match my printed design?

Our colored edges come in a wide range of preset colors. We are unable to match specific ink colors, but we will likely have an option that is either very similar to or complementary to what you are looking for. Please ask our customer service representatives for a full list of available colors.

Do you offer metallic or fluorescent edge colors?

We do not offer any metallic or fluorescent colors at this time.

Can I see samples of the edge colors you offer?

Ordering one of our free sample kits is the perfect way to experience a physical example of our colored edge business cards. We cannot guarantee specific edge colors, but we will do our best to provide examples that meet your needs.
