Box Printing FAQs

What types of boxes do you offer?

We offer a variety of box types, including crash lock boxes, flip lid boxes, and pull out boxes. If you have a different dieline, please let us know. We love working with clients to create unique boxes.

Are there limits on the sizes my box can be?

We know that every product is a unique size and requires unique packaging. This is why we do not have any size limits on boxes! Your box can be as large or as small as needed. We prefer boxes that have a dieline that is less than 19" x 25” flat.

Is there a minimum or maximum quantity for any box types?

No! You can order any quantity of boxes you need. As you order more, the price per box drops. Large quantities may take longer to produce.

What paper stocks are available?

We offer a variety of materials for packaging. Our most popular are:

• 100% PCW Uncoated Paper
  • Smooth, dull, and white surface
• 10% PCW Recycled Coated Paper
  • Smooth, sleek, and white surface
• 50% PCW Recycled Kraft Board
  • Textured, dull, and brown surface

Can I print on the inside of my boxes?

Yes! You can print on one or both sides in full color or just black. Adding printed designs to the interior of your packaging can be a fun surprise that makes your packaging more appealing. Our cardstock boxes are the perfect blank, white canvas for packaging with interior printing.

What coatings are available?

If you choose a coated paper (like silk or gloss), we can add a soft touch coating. Soft touch coating creates a velvety texture and matte appearance.

How are these boxes assembled?

For all boxes, you have a few options for how they are shipped and assembled. We can ship them to you flat so you can fold and secure them yourself. This is the best option for saving on space and shipping. We can also ship them to you folded. All you have to do is add your product and secure the closure. We can also ship them to you folded with adhesive to make packaging fast and easy.

Are some box types better for shipping than others?

All of our boxes can withstand the shipping process when transported inside a sturdy shipping container. We do not recommend shipping these boxes through the mail without protection.

Will I get a proof of my box before printing begins?

Yes! We will send you up to two free digital (soft) proofs before production begins. Extra soft proofs and physical hard proofs can be ordered for an extra cost. For more information about proofs, please review our Proofing Options page.

Can I add cutouts to my box? Can I add a plastic covering to these cutouts?

Yes! We can add die-cut cutouts to your custom windowed box. Unfortunately, we cannot add a plastic covering to these cutouts. All windows will open directly to the box’s interior.

What is the turnaround time for custom boxes?

You can choose what turnaround you would like when submitting your order. We currently offer turnaround times between 3 and 8 days. For urgent orders, please reach out to our customer service team.

Are your boxes FDA-approved and food safe?

Unfortunately, the only food-safe packaging we offer is our eco-friendly cello bags. Our boxes are not FDA-approved food-safe.
