Collated Printing FAQs

When should I use collated printing?

Collated printing is the perfect choice for any projects that have an unbound set of pages that need to be in a specific order. Some examples where collated printing could be beneficial are instruction manuals, newsletters, letterheads, flashcards, playing cards, and informational packets. Collated printing can be beneficial when creating sets of products that are sold together, like gift packages and sets of greeting cards. We can create these packages for you with our kitting services.

Can you do reverse collating?

Yes! Just ask our customer service team to have your order reverse collated.

When should I add drill holes?

Drill holes can be used to add collated pages into binders or to secure collated sets together with rings.

Do you do slip sheeting?

Yes! Our shipping department uses slip sheets and kraft paper padding to make sure your product arrives undamaged. Please ask our customer service team if you have specific slip sheeting requests.

Is each collated set stapled?

Our collated sets are not stapled unless you ask for it. Please submit a custom quote request if you are interested in having your sets stapled.

Do collated sets come secured with belly bands? If not, can I order belly bands?

Our collated sets come with paper belly bands by default. These bands use a water-based adhesive and are easy to remove. They are also recyclable! We can also provide shrink wrapping upon request.

Can I print matching packaging for my collated sets?

Yes! We offer multiple different custom packaging options, including custom pull out boxes and flip lid boxes. Please click here to explore our offerings.

Will I be able to proof my collated printing job?

Yes! We will send you up to two free digital (soft) proofs before production begins. Extra soft proofs and physical hard proofs can be ordered for an extra cost. For more information about proofs, please review our Proofing Options page.
