What sizes are available?

We have a variety of default sizes for hang tags ranging from 1x3 inches to 2x4 inches. Please check the hang tag product page for a full list of default sizes. Please submit a custom quote request to inquire about custom sized and custom shaped hang tags.

What’s the standard hang tag size?

The standard size for hang tags is 2” x 3.5”. Another common size is 2” x 4”.

What paper stocks are available?

We offer a variety of materials for hang tags. Our most popular are:

  • 100% PCW Uncoated Paper
    • Smooth, dull, and white surface
  • 10% PCW Recycled Coated Paper
    • Smooth, sleek, and white surface
  • 50% PCW Recycled Kraft Board
    • Textured, dull, and brown surface

How do I choose a paper weight?

You should pick a paper weight based on how thick and flexible you want your hang tags to be. Text weight paper is light weight and flexible. It is thinner but easily folded. Light can be seen through text stock. Cover weight paper is thick and sturdy. It can hold up to more wear but is heavier and not as flexible. Light cannot be seen through cover stock. A higher number of points or pounds means the paper is thicker. For example, a 100lb text stock is thicker than an 80lb text stock, but not as thick as a 100lb cover stock.

Can hang tags be printed double-sided?

Of course! You can choose to print on one or both sides with either full color or black ink only. We can also print on the interior of folded and fold over hang tags.

What coating and laminating options are there?

If you choose a coated paper (like silk or gloss), we can add a soft touch coating. Soft touch coating creates a velvety texture and matte appearance.

We can also add a gloss laminate. We use the most eco-friendly gloss laminate available. It uses heat to seal itself to your paper product. Because of this, a small edge of laminate will be left around the outside of your product to ensure proper sealing.

Can you print variable data?

Yes! We can use variable data to print prices, product names, and any other information you need on each product tag.

Do you print hang tags with tassels or strings?

Absolutely! We offer a wide variety of optional additions for hang tags, including strings and tassels. We have multiple tassel styles and materials. We can also drill holes for you if you’d prefer to add your own strings and tassels. Please review our Hangtag Options page to learn more about our stringing and finishing options.

Can I choose how my hang tags are strung?
