What’s a standard greeting card size?

The most common size for a standard greeting card is 5 x 7 inches. However, we can produce cards in any size you want! If the particular size you want is not listed on our greeting card order form, please submit a custom quote.

Do you print portrait and landscape greeting cards?

Yes! You can choose whether your cards will be landscape or portrait orientation. This applies to both folded cards and flat cards.

What paper stocks are available?

We offer a variety of materials for greeting cards. Our most popular are:

• 100% PCW Uncoated Paper
  • Smooth, dull, and white surface
• 10% PCW Recycled Coated Paper
  • Smooth, sleek, and white surface
• 50% PCW Recycled Kraft Board
  • Textured, dull, and brown surface

What are paper weights?

Paper weight refers to how thick and heavy a paper stock is. Paper weight is often labeled as points or pounds. The higher the number, the heavier and thicker the paper is. We recommend picking a paper with a higher number for sturdy greeting cards.

Can I print on the inside of my card?

Of course! You can choose which sides of the cards get printed or left blank, including the front, back, and inside.

What do the different ink choices mean?

Different ink choices are available depending on your chosen stock and project. There is a slight discount for choosing black ink only.

• 4/4: Full Color (CMYK) on both sides.
• 4/1: Full Color (CMYK) on the front side, and black only on the back side.
• 4/0: Full Color (CMYK) on the front side and blank on the back side.
• 1/1: Black Ink only on both sides.
• w/w: White Ink on both sides.
• w/0: White Ink on the front side and blank on the back side.
• (w+4/w+4): White Ink and Full Color (CMYK) on both sides.
• (w+4/0): White Ink and Full Color (CMYK) on the front side and blank on the back side.

Can I proof my greeting cards?

Yes! We will send you up to two free digital (soft) proofs before production begins. Extra soft proofs and physical hard proofs can be ordered for an extra cost. For more information about proofs, please review our Proofing Options page.

Can I add a coating or laminate to my card?

If you choose a coated paper (like silk or gloss), we can add a soft touch coating. Soft touch coating creates a velvety texture and matte appearance. This is available on flat and folded cards.

On any flat cards (no folds), we can add a gloss laminate. We use the most eco-friendly gloss laminate available. It uses heat to seal itself to your paper product. Because of this, a small edge of laminate will be left around the outside of your product to ensure proper sealing.

Are envelopes included? Can you print on the envelopes?

Envelopes are not included by default but can be added for an additional cost. You can completely customize your envelopes to match your cards or brand. We offer envelopes to match the size of most common card sizes. We can also provide variable data printing for addresses or names, kitting services, and mailing services.

Can I make a custom shaped Greeting Card? (or die cut, embossed, foiled?)

Of course! We can create custom die cut cards in any shape you can imagine! Custom shapes make memorable notecards! Please submit a custom quote request to inquire about custom shaped cards.
