Desk Calendars

What sizes are available?

By default, our desk calendars are sized to 7"x5.5”. If you would like a uniquely sized desk calendar, please submit a custom quote request.

How do I arrange pages for printing?

Please order your pages how you want them to appear in your finished calendar. We will do all imposition for you. Page 1 in your document will be the front cover, followed by the front inner cover (add a blank page here if you want a blank inner cover). The second to last page in your document will be the back inner cover (add a blank page here if you want a blank inner cover) and the final page in your document will be the back cover. The example below shows the page order of an 8 page booklet.

What’s the difference between pages and sheets?

A single sheet of paper has two sides, as shown on the left below. When the sheet is folded in half, it creates 4 different pages, as shown on the right below.

What paper stocks are available?

We offer a variety of materials for calendars. Our most popular are:

  • 100% PCW Uncoated Paper
    • Smooth, dull, and white surface
  • 10% PCW Recycled Coated Paper
    • Smooth, sleek, and white surface
  • 50% PCW Recycled Kraft Board
    • Textured, dull, and brown surface

Should I use a text weight or cover weight stock?

Which stock thickness you choose depends on what look you are going for with your calendar. Text weight paper is light weight and flexible. It is thinner, but more prone to tears. Text weight is commonly used for interior booklet pages. Light can be seen through text stock. Cover weight paper is thick and sturdy. It can hold up to more wear but is heavier and not as flexible. Light cannot be seen through cover stock. Cover stocks are perfect for booklet covers.

Can you print double-sided?

Yes! You can choose to print on one or both page sides on your calendar. We offer full color or black and white printing.

Can I print on the stand?

Yes! Our desk calendar stands are made of kraft paper unless otherwise specified. This paper has a rich brown color. Please keep this in mind when creating your stand design.

How many months can my calendar have?

You get to choose how many months your calendar has and which months are included! Each month typically takes up one or two pages. Common calendars will include 6 months, 12 months, or 18 months. School desk calendars typically start in July and last the entire school year.

What resolution should my images/artwork be?

All images and artwork should be at least 300ppi. Please review our File Set-up Checklist for more information about preparing your print ready file.
