Do I need to add crop marks?

What are crop marks?

Crop marks, also called trim marks, are small lines added to the corner of your press-ready design to show printers where to trim. They mark the edge between the design and the bleed area. Printers use these marks to align the trimming blade and double-check trim accuracy. They are especially useful on rectangular products like hang tags, box sleeves, and business cards.

Should I add crop marks to my design before sending it to Greenerprinter?

You do NOT need to add crop marks to your design. Our prepress team will add all necessary marks to your file before production begins. We do ask that you include a 0.125” bleed on all edges in your design. Additionally, if you are printing something with a non-rectangular shape, please send us a dieline as a separate layer on your design file. No crop marks are needed on these files either.
