What is a PDF?

Modified on Thu, 15 Feb, 2024 at 11:31 AM

PDF, also known as portable document format, is a digital file format used to show and transport files that include text and imagery. It can hold raster (pixel) images and vector illustrations. PDF files will end with the .pdf filename extension.

PDF files preserve the original content of all text, images, and layouts included in the file. This means the file will appear the same, no matter which device you open it on. PDF files are the preferred file at Greenerprinter for this exact reason. With PDF, you can be sure that your file will print exactly as intended.

PDF files can be viewed with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Download it for free here.

When submitting your next circle-shaped sticker design, bookmark, EDDM postcard, or other printed product, consider using PDF for a faster, smoother production process.
